Article NCVYS is very pleased to announce that nominations for the 2008 Young Partners Award are now being accepted.

The Young Partners Award is a celebration of young people's involvement in decision-making within voluntary youth organisations and projects. It provides an opportunity for organisations and projects in the voluntary youth sector to demonstrate what they have achieved, share ideas and inspire other organisations to share power with young people.
What makes the Young Partners Award different is the recognition that young people are the experts in deciding which factors are critical to their engagement in decision-making.

“The young partners award is a scheme that values young people’s opinions and contributions to their youth organisations. We achieve this by visiting, presenting, short listing and rewarding them. The outcome of this is allowing young people to have a voice and express their opinions to a wide range of people.” Linda, Lillith, Katie, and Laura age 13, YPA planning group.

Attached is the nominations leaflet which can be filled out and submitted online or as an email attachment, or printed off and then filled in. Alternatively follow the link below.

Forms may also be returned by fax or post. When you apply please also remember to return your additional information along with your nominations form.

Hard copies are also available; please contact Steven Pryse if you would like one.

Nominations for the Award close on Friday 19 September 2008.
